ABOUT
Sylving is a furry visual novel with romance, adventure, drama, action and comedy. Travel to another world where different anthropomorphic people live, where a long history of conflict has been going between the Dyr, Udyr and Eldor races for centuries, but not without reasons. You'll meet many different characters and learn more about this world, but not everyone is what they seem to be at first glance.

there's been some adjustments to the story, scenes, characters and some visual updates. these changes were neccessary before moving forward to chapter 4.

I finished reading it all, and OMG it's SO GOOD!!! I love this so much, I just have a question, is there a button to hide the text chat so I can see the full image? If not, will one be added in the future? (Btw, I love this so much, and I'll be waiting patiently for the next update)
if you're on a PC, click "H" (hide) on your keyboard. that'll hide both the text and box.

Been a year's since I last read this and it's really good to know that this project is still going and I looking forward for this
I had downloaded the old version, and I simply loved it.
I don't know where I saw it, but the author wasn't satisfied with his writing, I was wondering how that's possible? The story is short but it's so captivating, you can quickly get attached to the characters, and the animations and sprites of the characters are super well done. English is not my native language, but the reading was easy to understand and so enjoyable, it was a super well done job.
What I loved the most was that Agnaar seems to have several sprite variations, he always seems to be looking in a different direction or looking at the person who is speaking, I don't know how to explain it.
And I don't even know how to say how incredible the animations of the MC looking at the mirror or Agnaar are.
Luckily for me, a new version seems to have come out, and I saw the improvements in the sprites, they are already incredible.
PS: Mikkel banging on the table and saying he was fine was quite a scare.

i will be honest, i read a lot of vns, really, soulcreek, adastra, lust shard, etc and i will say it, i see so much potential in this project, can be one of the best project on itch with time, its too soon to give him a calification but trully u can make a master piece here, i wish u good luck in future updates and pls dont let the project abandoned

I'll be releasing the updated version of 0.3 tomorrow, then I'll be working on chapter 4 moving forward. there's been a few changes in chap. 2 and 3 before I could move forward, with polished sprites for Agnarr.

are you loading a savefile? it's probably broken. especially the ver.0.3 Reforged version because I had to clean the codes some and made changes to the script.
make a new game and see if that works.

I don't know how to help you, I'm sorry. I googled the error, and I get "failed to connect to your local server". I have no idea what this means for Renpy (the program I use to make the VN Sylving)

If it's after you launch the game, I assume you also tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling? Since sometimes it just forgets to download certain files. That or just restarting your computer and the itch.io launcher
If the issue is you can't access the page or the banner to launch the game, and it says that error message at the bottom of the page, that's itch's problem, I usually go to my feed and then back or just reload the page. itch had some issues recently with pages not loading.
this game was and will still be great! I hope you can persevere and continue making this!

I'm planning 20 chapters, but I'm not sure if that's even possible. being the writer, illustrator, animator, background designer and coder, it takes a ton of work and time.
You're not the only one who is nearly doing all the work, and I can name one person that experience the same work as yours. Then again both of you guys bring out 10/10 work so... we'll be waiting!!

he's not romancable in Sylving.
but after the main story's done, we'll be working on a spinoff after the epilog where most male characters are dateable.

I've read through this VN. Agnarr is so relateable. Storywise it's without a doubt the funniest one I have read in a very long time. Very excited to see where the story will go from here.

Woah! The animations! The Visuals! It's beautiful! And heck Agnarr is sooooooo cute! The story is pretty- long, I've been playing over 2 hours now (emmm, maybe it's cause of my slow reading-) but, I'm still at the part where Agnarr is cutting my nails. (lol how long is the story- ,it feels like it's gonna take forever-) Kinda sad that you can't choose your gender, or kind, and there isn't very much choices you can make. Oh and the sounds effects is excellent.

(I also want to clarify that I have only gone as far as talk to Brumm) I just want to ask something, is it normal that most of the time I only read? I mean... I feel like I haven't had many choices, and the few I have had haven't even been important. (Please, I just need help to understand better, nothing personal, I will get to the end of chapter 3... soon...)
Hi! I would say its normal, some Visual Novels dont offer choices at all like RTF, and only focus on the story from one single point, still I would say to give it a chance! (English isnt my first language either, so sorry for any typos)

I guess it depends. Some genres do not offer much choices (Lyre, FBTW, etc...), lest it affects the story. Some do not even offer choices at all. There are also some who are generous with chocies. My top of the head would be Repeat and Our Life.
i spent over an HOUR on this fucking game. it took me so long to download and i was so EXCITED about the whole story itself, the character designs and just the whole game in general. and i was SO hyped, and i was trying to get to an NSFW scene (besides the mirror scene.) it was so disappointing that i went through all of that, and the storyline was SO confusing, i was SO lost. the animation was good, and i was so hyped. but it just all went to shit, it said THREE chapters, but it was just one big episode! no hate, just my thoughts. <3

Help - I forgot I played, like the first thirty seconds of this, and when I saw the beast-man that saved me, I gave him a five second stare because he has a small head that just.. Does not fit well, so I closed the application and uninstalled it. :sob:
When the main character looks in the mirror in the sentence "I look terrible", there is a bug where a part of the wall turns black, completely black. I have a screenshot.

no chapter 4 this year, but there'll be an updated version with some changes. chapter 3 will have a big rewrite, but it should be possible to get that done before the end of 2024.
Sometimes the image of objects that the characters hold such as the tape measure that in the scene that Agnarr takes the measurements of the MC's clothes, or in Brumm's tavern that the dishes do not appear in his hands.
I'm don't know what I do wrong when donwload the file.

there's no sprites for the tape measure and Brumm holding dishes. the measuring scene only happens once, so it's not neccessary. but I can make one with Brumm holding a plate of food.

one of the best visual novels I've ever read, I never got bored, it's very dynamic with the situations you present, endearing characters, interactions that feel natural and in general I love them.
