Sylving Moving Forward

Hey everyone,

Due to insurmountable creative differences I have decided to go back to me being the sole writer of Sylving again, for now. So after putting out the 0.3 REFORGED version, I'll have a lot more work with chapter 4.

I'm sorry for being unable to give much update around Sylving. There's been a lot of things going on in my life, so there hasn't been much time for me to focus on the project. I can't promise the writing will be all that great moving forward, but I'll do my best to have it at least be a fun experience to read through.

I've made animation for the mirror scene where you check yourself out in chapter 3, so at least there's something to look forward to!

Hope to see you around,

-Drakita

All I can say is look to the writing that has already been done as something to refer to in order to keep thing feeling the same.  Do your best to maintain that vibe for each character's personality.

You do what you need to do, buddy. That you're doing a VN at all is a great undertaking in and of itself, and I think most of us (sane) people know to be patient and kind when it comes to this sort of thing. I'm sorry to hear that other writers didn't work out, but I've always enjoyed your art and I like what I've read in this VN. Real life is busy and it sucks, so do what you can without burning yourself out.

It's important that you're well!!about writing, we know you are doing your best don't worry.

if you feel you my have shortcomings with the writing on the story, but want to be the sole creative, might i suggest looking for an editor? someone who, rather than giving input on the direction or angle of the story, simply helps you ensure a more cohesive structure. It would be stressed that they arent offering input into the worldbuilding or design of the story, just into the writing and word-choice. That way you maintain the prime crontrol of WHAT is in the story, but can still get help with keeping things consistent.

(of course I am just some rando from the internet who wants to enjoy your story, so feel free to ignore me. lol. just wanted to offer a solution that could maybe help lighten your workload. burnout sucks and yet its biggest ally is ourselves.)

Do whatever you feel is best for you. Hope everything works out!

yeah, that's what I figured is what I need. I want to work alone first when I write chapter 4, but I'll see if I can find an editor to look through it when I'm ready to work with someone again.

thank you for the suggestion and how to go about it, I'll keep that in mind when I bring on an editor eventually!

I'm sorry to hear bringing on other writers into the project didn't work out for you.

I would encourage you to not be fearful of making mistakes in your writing, don't be so hard on yourself.

What ever troubles you are facing I hope that you can take solace in the knowledge that with this project you've made there is a lot to be proud of.
