Fantastic chapter btw. The only thing I find weird is when Brumm uses "BRUMM1_head_brows5.webp" together with "BRUMM1_head_eyes2.webp", it makes the pupils look disoriented. I noticed this when he uses this combination right after Gjertrud walks off. Aside from that and a few writing errors, the rest is amazing and I really look forward to what happens next.
I hear you, I edited that scene with Brumm's sprites to make it less jarring. you'll see it in the next release.

yeah, I found that bug too. after Renpy had its update recently, it gave Sylving a small bug that I couldn't do much about. it only bugged the savefile, but you might have to delete them and start over from chapter 1.

Also I hope I don't appear as a negative person when I express my opinions on this but I hope this VN does not have those weird scenes where we saw our love interest having "fun" with someone else just so we can have a scene that will emphasize the "hotness" or "a sex scene" of the character (Agnarr). Just started this Visual Novel and finished 0.2. It was shorter than expected but it was really good. The writing. The art. The .gif animations, if that's what they are. All really good. The emotional build you've with the characters makes me feel connected and concerned for them. I want the big guy to just hold MC and tell them its going to be alright. I want to read more and now I following and eager for more

Another thing to add is that I hope Aron asks to be trained by Agnarr in order to not be dependant and useless without him. A major issue I see in those types of VN is the mc being useless without the main LI so Aron asking to be trained and showing being able to fend of for himself would be an ecxelent decision
That is very common in vns and it gets kind of annoying when so many of them resort to the mc (human main characters especially) being weak and inferior and cannot last without the big strong love interest protecting them. I like to see a mc that is more capable in things such as defending themselves, and contributing to the story.

Aghh, i regret for ending two chapters so quickly!? But overall i really like how there's animation to it, the background art, and the character/sprite is really good with their expression and body language and also the writings too. I already saved this on my library so i could check for any updates on this game just like the other FVN's i saved, cause i think this could be one of the best visual novel i read.
why's the logo to the right? it should be to the left, and there's a strange, uneven black line and has a light box around it, so this is certainly not from Itch.
did you download an unofficial android version of it before downloading it here on Itch? that might be why you can't update on your phone, as this one messed with the codes for your phone.

it'll be optional. there's censor one to avoid the few nude parts in the story. when the sexual scenes comes, there'll be the option to do it or just have a short cuddling moment that doesn't affect the story.
Holy shit dude. I just started reading and it's already so good. Aside from the obvious amazing plot, I seriously thought it would be cringey but instead, I get greeted with animations, lots of different sprites and mystery after mystery that is being unveiled. It's been hard to find a good new VN like this for awhile. Time to go to Patreon.
This has been an eye opener, i've seen a few (really not too many), but the story already has weight to it with what it currently has. Most of the other VNs or other media takes "a while" till you get a feel of the story but this one could already make me feel sympathetic to the characters. Not to mention the art is amazing especially the animations. I have but one concern from what i've seen most VN's go to 1gb of storage with just a few 3 frame-ish animations. Considering you have small smooth animations i wonder how big of a file it would be in a year or two's time.
as for the size of it, yeah it's a little big. there's a ton more assets made for chapter 3, so I'm doing my best sizing the files down without losing the quality.
The game shows a lot of promise, and there is one scene in particular that I think is worth highlighting.
I see a lot of people have grown disdain for human protagonists who throw tantrums and complain about their situation but this game… made this work?…
This might be a bit of a spoiler, but in the end of the last update it is revealed that the way for MC to go home is cut off… all the while he was already mentally prepared to go home right away that instant.
Naturally MC throws a fit (I mean who wouldn’t?) and he felt such despair and hatred that it awakened his superpowers he was about to use to attack a foxman — a reason for his misfortunes, while Agnarr jumps to the foxman defense.
Thankfully, the conflict did not escalate further, and afterwards both MC and Agnarr reconcile and apologize to one another — MC for lashing out and unleashing superpowers he didn’t even know he had, and Agnarr for nearly hurting him even thought he promised he will be protecting him.
I thought this scene was worth highlighting for two reasons.
First off — it's lowkey brilliant as it accomplishes multiple things at once: it lets MC to be human and demonstrates the flaws he should be working on, it establishes the fact he has superpowers, conditions under which they activated and it moves MC’s relationship with Agnarr forward.
And second — not only it highlights the fact that MC’s like these can work, but also how *exactly* made them work, and I really wish other writers who write furry-isekais would set this scene as an example.

like you said, it's easy to make a main character frustrated, but I really wanted to build it up, both to see MC's frustration for being stuck in another world so suddenly and to show Agnarr that MC's not some godly figure that's been described to be around Sylving(humans). Agnarr's not sure how to really be around a Sylving as there's been no such thing for 600 years, and they're said to be mighty beings that's put as someone with mighty powers to help them in need back then. but him seeing MC's frustration and breaking down in tears shows how he's a normal living being capable of emotions just as much as the Dyrs (animal people) do.
it won't be an easy road ahead, but I'll do my best to write them come together through ups and downs. it's gonna be a long story, so I hope you'll enjoy it as it goes on :3 and thank you for the ted talk hehe *big hugs*
The current Linux 0.2 release has no executable in it (only .sh and .py files): could it be you forgot to rebuild it / copy it ? I can't launch the VN as a result.
hi there. sorry it took a week to reply, I had to ask around about this issue. the one answer I got was that you should be able to simply launch the .sh file from the command line.
if it doesn't work, maybe you could try the Windows version of it. I've seen some VN's having them both in one dl file, so maybe that's it.
Make sure you've enabled its executability in the properties menu. Then, depending on the Linux distribution, there might be an option to run it in the context menu or you can run it from the terminal

I finished playing the game and I must say, I love the story so much! The worldbuilding and pacing are great. The characters are well-written, especially my husband Agnarr. His dialogue is calm and he relies on experience. I was also drawn to him because my love language is "Words of Affirmation", which he excels in. I do hope the story progresses in a way that makes us learn more about the worldbuilding and the stories of each character. I hope the story gets updated very soon. Sorry if my comment is quite long but my love for Agnarr made me do this. Stay safe and healthy, creators of this game!

Person at the start but I think their lil animation is my fav so far lol, I've also accidentally called them mildred when I first saw them and I've just been using that to refer to them each time I joke about them since lmao (if and when we find out their name will I still call them mildred? Prob lol)
